What an exciting year we have planned for you, as we navigate through motherhood together! It’s going to be a great adventure!
Our first meeting is going to be September 6th, from 6-8 pm in Room 210-214 of the Education Building at FBCTT. Dinner will be provided. Meetings are $5.00 this year and expectant moms through moms of high schoolers are encouraged to attend! If you haven’t already done so, PLEASE REGISTER TODAY, so we can secure a seat (and a meal) for you!
Our first topic for the year will be Navigating the Trials of Strong Willed Children! It’s going to be an informative and life changing meeting for sure! Our guest speaker is the wonderful Becky Guagliardo, whose bio you can read below! We’re looking forward to kicking off a great year!
Becky Guagliardo is a member of FBCTT and is a doctoral psychology resident at Life
Connections Counseling Center. The three primary types of services she provides
are: psycho-educational evaluations, parent coaching, and psychotherapy. Psycho-
educational evaluations are typically done for those who want to be evaluated for
giftedness, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and ADHD. In addition to
conducting assessments, Becky provides parent coaching to help parents troubleshoot
their parenting strategies with their child. Coaching can occur in her office or in the
client’s home, depending on the presenting problem.
Lastly, psychotherapy services are provided to individuals or families. Her style of
practice uses expressive therapies (art, play, and sand) to engage anxious and resistant
children. She also addresses the interplay between emotions, behaviors, thoughts,
relationships, physiology, and faith for children who are verbal and can participate in this
type of therapy. Scripture and a Christian worldview are used as guiding principles in
her approach. Her unique blend of traditional therapy with other approaches maximizes
her clients’ opportunities for positive change.
