What should I expect at a refresh meeting?
In just a few words – a fun, refreshing time!
Once you are at the church, park in the lot that is off of Mission Hills Ave. As you approach the door, you will be greeted by a warm and friendly face. There will be plenty of ladies around who will tell you exactly where to take your children (if you need to bring them with you) and where you should go.
Each refresh meeting begins promptly at 6pm with dinner and a time for fellowship. We have insightful speakers on topics relevant to moms, followed by a time for small group discussion.
How much does it cost?
A $7.00 per meeting fee will be charged to help provide for dinner, activities and speakers. Childcare for your children (ages 6 weeks-5th grade) is available on a first come, first serve basis. There is a $2.00 charge per child, with a maximum of $15.00.
An early bird registration is available.
Who can attend refresh?
Mothers who have children newborn through high school, as well as expectant moms.
Do I have to be a member at First Baptist Church Temple Terrace to attend refresh meetings?
No, membership at FBCTT is not a requirement to attend meetings.
Is childcare provided?
Yes! Our Children’s Program provides loving care for children newborn through kindergarten. While mothers attend the refresh meeting, the children enjoy refreshments, a program designed to meet their needs. The children are divided into age groups and are involved in planned activities that provide social growth and spiritual enrichment. The refreshments schedule includes a Bible lesson, crafts, music, play time, and dinner. Pizza is provided for the children.
What else does refresh offer?
Throughout the month, we offer additional activities to help build authentic friendships with other moms, primarily in the form of Mom’s Night Out events or events hosted by the FBCTT Women’s Ministry.
